Privacy Policy

Overview

Whiteboard Works ("we", "us", "our") builds browser extensions and web applications. We respect your privacy and design our products to collect as little data as possible. This policy covers all extensions and apps published by Whiteboard Works, including FRED, Vim What, LatTab, Tab Watch, Play Faster, and Clear Wisdom.

Data we collect

Most of our products do not collect personal data at all. Where data is handled, here is what applies:

• Local storage only. Preferences, settings, and progress data are stored locally on your device using browser storage APIs (such as chrome.storage.local or chrome.storage.sync). This data never leaves your browser unless you explicitly use the browser's built-in sync feature.
• No accounts or sign-ups. We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use our products.
• No tracking or analytics in extensions. Our browser extensions do not include third-party analytics, advertising scripts, or tracking pixels.

Browser permissions

Each extension requests only the permissions it needs to function. Permission details are listed on each product's Chrome Web Store or Firefox Add-ons page. We never request permissions beyond what is required for core functionality.

Third-party services

Some products may communicate with external services to provide their core functionality (for example, FRED uses an AI service to analyze content for fraud). When this happens, only the data necessary for the specific feature is transmitted — no personal identifiers are sent. Our websites (such as whiteboardworks.com) may use basic analytics to understand page visits; these do not track individual users across sites.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not build user profiles.

Data retention

Since data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. Uninstalling an extension removes all associated local data. You can also clear extension data at any time through your browser's settings.

Children's privacy

Our products are general-audience tools. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of our products after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
